I spent 2 seasons working with Avneet and the ball handling I did with him in the mornings made my ball handing much more crisp when it was time for the games. We would work on a series of motions with the ball that were not only to be used as set up moves in games. We used moves that were based on the read and react aspect of the game. The emphasis on these skills also applied to shooting. Any time there was something wrong with my shot, Avneet would stay after to fix it. Before upcoming games, Avneet would work with me on shots I would get in games. More specifically how the defence would guard me in the half court and off of ball screens and where my scoring and passing options would be. Two major things we worked on were ball contested pull up jumpers and ball screen play. When it came to the ball screen, Av placed an emphasis on creating space and we worked on reads to be made off the screen. In regards to pull up jumpers, we worked on creating space and staying on balance into my shot. I spent time with Avneet using resistance bands to work on my explosiveness which was quite tiring but very applicable to fatigue that I felt during games.
